What We Do

Training And Sending for the Kingdom

First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park will be a people that are committed to training and sending disciples of theĀ Lord Jesus Christ for His kingdom.

We will train people through Biblical discipleship within each ministry, Bible study, and personal relationship.

We will send people into their homes, the workplace, the community, and unto the ends of the earth to make
more disciples of Christ.

We will do this all for Christ and His kingdom to honor, glorify, and worship Him.

We commit then to being a disciple and making more of them.

A disciple is a believer who is:
1. Grounded and growing in their faith in God.
2. Serving using their God given gifts.
3. Creating disciples by intentionally sharing Jesus with others and instructing them in the Bible.

What We Believe

Our complete statement of faith is theĀ Baptist Faith and Message (2000 Edition).

A brief summary of our statement of faith follows:

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons : Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His resurrection, in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost : those that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
